Agħfas fuq il-mappa ta’ hawn taħt biex tisma’ l-ilħna ta’ nies minn lokalitajiet differenti jitħaddtu bid-djalett. Fl-ewwel taqsima hemm għadd ta’ recordings mill-imgħoddi: ħafna minnhom kienu nġabru bejn l-1964 u l-1971 mill-Prof. Ġużè Aquilina mill-Università ta’ Malta u l-Prof. Benedikt Isserlin mill-Università ta’ Leeds. Fl-2006, fuq l-inizjattiva tal-Prof. Alexandra Vella, it-tapes oriġinali ġew iddiġitalizzati, u fl-2015 John Paul Grima kkatalogahom skont il-kontenut tagħhom u skont il-kwalità tar-recording. Fit-tieni parti tista’ tisma’ siltiet li ġew irrekordjati dan l-aħħar bħala parti minn proġett tal-Istitut tal-Lingwistika u t-Teknoloġija tal-Lingwa u tad-Dipartiment tal-Malti li qiegħed jiġbor it-taħdit ta’ kelliema tad-djalett fil-gżejjer Maltin.

The first section contains sound files from the past, most of which were recorded between 1964 and 1971 by Prof. Ġużè Aquilina from the University of Malta and Prof. Benedikt Isserlin from the University of Leeds. It was on Prof. Alexandra Vella's initiative that in 2006 the original tapes were digitised. In 2015 John Paul Grima classified them on the basis of their content and the quality of the recording. In the second part, one can listen to recordings that have been recently collected as part of a research project run by the Institute of Linguistics and Language Technology together with the Department of Maltese with the aim of collecting spoken data from dialect speakers in the Maltese Islands.
